The Trinity Lutheran School History
The school was established by Trinity Lutheran Church in 1891, one month after the church was founded in 1890, believing the school should be the foundation of the community. Since that time Trinity Lutheran School has been an integral part of Trinity Lutheran Church. Trinity grew from two rooms to a four-room school. Trinity moved to the current location on NE Killingsworth Street in 1959 to accommodate further expansion of the school.
Trinity demonstrated its commitment to Christian education by worshipping in the gymnasium until 1989 when the current sanctuary was dedicated.
Today, Trinity Lutheran School has full and part-time staff serving approximately 150 students from age 3 through 14. The school is accredited by two agencies – the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools and the National Lutheran School Accreditation Association.
Trinity continues to prepare children for successful lives, founded in Christ, to face an uncertain world.
