Welcome to Trinity Lutheran School. Since 1891, Trinity Lutheran has been an educational leader for quality, faith-based education in Portland, Oregon. Our school is located in the heart of NE Portland, surrounded by a rich heritage and diverse community.

Trinity Lutheran School offers an inclusive Christian education for students aged 3 through 14 by providing a loving, safe and focused learning environment. Blended grade classrooms for grades 1 through 8 exist at Trinity Lutheran School. The blended grade learning environment provides students the opportunity to work at the academic level  in which they can excel and receive instruction that challenges them to continue to learn, regardless of their ability.

At our core is a ministry which encourages the development of the whole child; spiritually, mentally, emotionally, socially and physically.

Trinity Lutheran School Philosophy

Our philosophy is simple: To offer a quality education that is challenging, enables children to believe in themselves and be good stewards of their time, talents and treasures.

Education is more than just an academic endeavor; it is a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church. We are constantly evaluating and improving our structure. We acknowledge that the world our students live in today is more complex than it was a decade ago. Therefore, every attempt is made – whether in the home or in the community – to develop the whole child; spiritually, mentally, emotionally, socially and physically. Our staff is dedicated to equip each child with the necessary skills to succeed and to believe in the talents God has given them.

Our academic standards are set high to ensure each child is able to face the challenges of this ever-changing world and achieve excellence based on their God-given skills and talents.  Trinity Lutheran School prepares our students for a legacy of academic excellence in high school and beyond.
