Academic Curriculum

Individual success is a top priority at Trinity Lutheran School!  Trinity transitioned to multi-age classrooms during the 2008/2009 Academic year for Grades 1-8.   Our classrooms are centered on the belief that each child is capable of doing three things: learning, leading by example and serving. At Trinity Lutheran School you will find challenging academics and a focus on individual learning. We believe our program provides a greater opportunity to learn at a rate and level most appropriate to each student in the core subjects of math and language arts.

Kindergarten – 8th Grade curriculum includes: Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Computer Science, Physical Education, Art, Music and Religion.

Educational Advantages of our Program

  • Reading and math are taught throughout the school at the same time.
  • Assesses students in reading and math subjects with standardized assessments, present and past performance, parental input and teacher recommendation
  • Accommodates students who learn at a faster rate and exhibit signs of readiness for a higher level by allowing them to work with other students with similar abilities
  • Places students who are working at grade level in to developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Provides students who need review and re-teaching of previous concepts every opportunity to get additional help
  • Advances students as their progress warrants, with regular assessments throughout the year

We are proud to say that our students frequently exceed national and state standards. Students at Trinity Lutheran School score high on standardized tests and succeed in higher education as well.

Learn. Lead by Example. Serve.

It's the Trinity Lutheran way.

Typical School Day

Outside of the morning block time for language arts and math, individual classroom schedules will be independent of one another.  This gives each teacher the ability to fit in all subjects as well as schedule students for library, music, art, physical education and computer classes that may be taught by other staff members.
